More venue options and meet Feliz the sheep'

I have two more wedding venues to share today with one I got to check out in person!
The Leonis Adobe Ranch is located in Calabasas,CA. It's recognized as a historical landmark for being one of the oldest surviving buildings in the San Fernando Valley. It consist of two houses,a barn,a 400 year old oak tree and lots of adorable animals. The staff were so knowdelgable and the tour was well worth the trip. Even though I can see this place as a great venue,a good whiff of the horse corral got me changing my mind.It wasn't an overwhelming stench but you can definitely notice it. I'm not a picky person and it wouldnt bother me too much.Though I'd want my guest to be comfortable, especially those with sensitive nose!
Luna, the farm cat enjoying her afternoon nap
love the roof!
more kitties!
Meet Feliz, she is the cutest thing ever! I'm so happy I had the opportunity to feed her a bottle of milk, Due to being born with curve legs, shes unable to feed from her mama. But she has great spirits and loves nibbling on shoelaces!

The next venue I will be sharing is Hicksville Trailer Palace

This place looks so unique and fun,it's located in the middle of nowhere aka Joshua Tree,CA. The park consist of eight themed trailer, a saltwater pool and fun activities such as archery and bbguns (cool!) One of the perks is you have the option of renting the whole place for such an affordable price! (About $1300 on a weekday) I think the only downside is everything is practically booked till next year! I'm crossing my fingers that my fiance and I can book a night so we can check out the place in person. Hope it can happen soon!

I want to stay at the Fifi!

The pioneer looks like a great option as well

I got venues on my mind

To the creator of #hashtags and Instagram, thank you very much for being born! Seriously, I've found some pretty awesome wedding venues just by the simplest keyword searches. I'd like to share my top three:

The Mountain Mermaid This place peeked my interest with it's awesome name. It's a historical site  located in the hills of Topanga Canyon. Judging from Google map, I've passed it so many
time and never noticed it! It was originally built in the 1930s and has been a country club, a gangster's gambling house and once was a gay night spot in the 50's! Now it has transformed to a beautiful hidden historical retreat that offers a tempting wedding package. From the pictures I've seen, my favorite area is probably the Great Room. With it's spacious floor plan and wooden beamed ceilings, I think it has great potentials.

The Saddlerock Ranch Located under the Malibu Family Wine vineyards-which I believe I've passed by many times as well. (If anyone is wondering how oblivious I am when I'm around this area, its because I'm usually cruising with my fiances on his motor bike and so he goes fast!) The pictures I've seen on Instagram were pretttty impressive. There are four wedding settings across the vineyards and each one is quiet dreamy. However, the site rentals definitely pitched me back to reality!!.. $10k anyone??..But I am still interested in checking this location out in person.

Empire Mine The official site needs a bit "updating" but the place looks magical! It's located in Grass Valley, CA which is about 500 miles north of where I live. From the three place I listed, this is my favorite.(YES,it's because it had the most trees). Here's a better site that shows how beautiful and fairytale like this venue can be :Empire Mine Wedding. I would really love to set some time in the future to visit this location.

Winter wonderland wedding

We just got back from a spontaneous Mammoth weekend trip and yay it finally snowed! So Cal has really lived up to its name by having the warmest winter ever! So ones my hubby to be found out it was snowing this weekend-he booked a room and packed his snow gear up fast!
Though the main reason for the trip was to snowboard on some fresh powder,he humored me a bit by visiting some beautiful spots for potential wedding venues. Here's a few of my fav locations
Twin Lakes-I've always wanted to camp here during summer time.Such a treat to walk around the area while it snowed!
My scarf was frozen!but it really wasn't that cold! thank you wool socks!
Couldn't resist, had to make a snow angel, the snow was so powdery!
A few miles south of Mammoth was Convict Lake.Though it doesn't have the most appealing name,it sure had a view!
I'll have to find the link but I believe there's actually a Convict Lake Resort that offers wedding options. Will have to do more research on that.
Oh and since the trip was so last minute,we ended up staying at a Motel 6.(which actually had a great location and was newly remodeled)But a friend of ours coincidently was at Mammoth the same weekend and she was staying at the Westin. Her suite was pretty nice and I got to meet Spencer the English pittbull, who was the cutest thing ever! As you can tell from the above pic,Santa was ready for some jacuzzi party!

Though the Westin was swanky and was just a walk away from The Village,I'd totally prefer a cabin such as the one brow to stay in.Im a nature gal at heart! And if we do agree on a wedding in Mammoth-Id have to start booking some cabins soon.
